Andre Russell, one of the best T20 cricketers in the world, is ready to return to international cricket. If Cricket West Indies agrees to his conditions, then he wants to win more World Cups for the team. Russell has not played cricket for the West Indies since the T20 World Cup in UAE last year.
West Indies coach Phil Simmons recently raised questions about the availability of senior players. However, during an interview, Russell has indicated to return to international cricket this year. Russell said, “I am always ready to play. I want to return what I have found. But when you do not agree on something, then they should also respect us. That’s what matters in the end.”
Russell wants to win more World Cup for West Indies team. The star all-rounder said, “We also have families. We think we should use whatever better opportunity we have got for them. It’s not like starting over again. I am 34 years old and I want to win one or two more World Cups for the country. Here I am.”
Russell ready to return
Russell further said, “I have scored two centuries while playing in the franchise league. I think I wish I had scored these centuries while playing for West Indies and the feeling would be different.
