On social media, Bollywood celebrities expressed their sorrow at the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-reigning queen. Actress Sushmita Sen uploaded a photo of Queen Elizabeth II on her Instagram account along with a message. The absolute essence of a QUEEN, she remarked, “What an amazing and fully celebrated life!!! She loved colours and lived every shade of it, in a single lifetime. Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth ll.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a youthful image of Queen Elizabeth II on her Instagram stories along with a heart emoji. In black-and-white, Anushka Sharma also shared the same image of Queen Elizabeth II.
“Rest in Grace,” she wrote as the image’s caption. Riteish Deshmukh also shared a message of sympathy following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. His tweet on Twitter reads, “A new era has ended! She maintained her dignity even through the most trying circumstances. It is a terrible day, and our thoughts are with the family and the people of the UK. #QueenElizabethII.” Shilpa Shetty, an actress, too expressed her sympathy. The royal family announced that Queen Elizabeth II, who was 96 years old, passed away peacefully at Balmoral castle. The longest-reigning monarch in the UK was put under medical supervision earlier on Thursday after her health took a turn for the worse. The Prince of Wales, Charles, was referred to as the King in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
