Don’t Count on Seeing Vinessa Shaw in Hocus Pocus 2

This month, one of Shaw’s most popular movies will be getting a sequel, but we shouldn’t expect to see her in the film. Hocus Pocus 2 hits Disney+ at the end of the month and it brings back Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters. Shaw had previously revealed that she was never approached about reprising her role to appear in the movie, noting that she would have been happy to be involved if she was invited.

“I would love to know more about it. I haven’t heard anything,” Shaw told ComicBook.com. “That movie just, it blew my mind to be able to do that movie as a young child growing up on Disney movies. It just was an amazing second film to have done. It brought me to basically love filmmaking because, up to that point, I hadn’t really done anything that big. I mean, Ladybugs was pretty big for me to begin with, but three months on the set working on this movie, it just rocked my world. So to be able to, again, have everyone love it … So I hope the second one is just as cool.”

Hocus Pocus 2 will hit Disney+ on Sept. 30. The second season of Swagger on Apple TV+ doesn’t have a premiere date at this time.
