India’s cricket squad has been eliminated from the Asia Cup in 2022, according to Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul. India’s national team will now play series against South Africa and Australia. The T20 World Cup 2022 will then begin. Australia will host the World Cup this time. Former Indian player Ashish Nehra has selected his side for this. Rohit Sharma has been awarded the captaincy by him.
Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant, two wicketkeeper batters, are also part of the Indian team, per Nehra. He has kept opener Rohit and KL Rahul together. Additionally, all-around talents Deepak Hooda and Ravindra Jadeja have been included. Spin spinners Ashwin and Chahal have been replaced by him. It is important to note that Mohammed Shami was not chosen by Nehra for the Indian team. Shami was also left off of Team India’s roster for the 2022 Asia Cup. In 2021, India’s final T20 international game was against Namibia. Shami participated in that game. He was unable to rejoin the T20 International team after this. He did, however, participate in ODIs. In July 2022, Shami played his final ODI, which was against England. In the ODI at The Oval, he grabbed 3 wickets.
